A quick-drying one-component epoxy base coat
EP PRIMER 311 is an air-drying, one-component epoxy primer for steel, cast iron, galvanized steel and aluminium. It brings anti-corrosion protection, adhesion and mechanical resistance to a coating process that does not require mixing a separate hardener.
Its short drying time makes it a useful option when the job calls for a straightforward primer-and-enamel sequence. The TDS specifies brush, roller and spray methods and allows finishing with alkyd, polyvinyl or chlorinated-rubber enamels. Each substrate still needs the stated preparation, and existing paint should be checked with a test application before recoating.
Before you specify: Water and chemical resistance are intermittent; the coating is not resistant to permanent submersion. Use only the listed compatible enamel types unless the manufacturer confirms an alternative system.
