High-build epoxy primer with an oven-curing option
PROTECT 361 TIX is a high-build epoxy anti-corrosion primer for transport vehicles, machinery, steel structures and external tank surfaces. It combines substantial film build with good hiding and flow, plus chemical and mechanical resistance. Its listed substrates include prepared metals, existing coatings, polyester putties and laminates.
Choose it when a thick epoxy undercoat and a defined accelerated sanding schedule suit the workflow. With H5980 hardener, the technical sheet allows sanding after 30 minutes at 60°C for a dry film no thicker than 120 micrometres. It accepts the NOVOL topcoats specified by the TDS.
Before you specify: Apply within the specified +15°C to +25°C conditions. The 30-minute sanding time applies at 60°C and at most 120 micrometres dry. If it is the only primer, the minimum thickness is 80 micrometres; overcoat within 48 hours without matting.
