Fast-drying alkyd preparation for vehicles and equipment
PROTECT 371 is a modified, fast-drying alkyd primer for transport vehicles, machines and equipment. It provides filling ability, hiding and flow, together with chemical and mechanical resistance. Prepared steel, existing paint coatings and polyester putties are the substrates listed in its technical sheet.
Choose it when the finishing system uses NOVOL alkyd topcoats and a fast-drying primer suits production. It can be applied by conventional spray gun or air-assisted airless equipment. At 20°C, a dry film up to 80 micrometres becomes dust-free in approximately 45 minutes.
Before you specify: Steel requires a minimum primer thickness of 80 micrometres. Keep the surface clean before overcoating; after seven days, the technical sheet recommends degreasing and sanding. Use the specified alkyd topcoat system.
